It's always lovely when a place meets your expectations. If you know what "puff puff" is and you like it, they make it well there. Go get some.

I loved all..we went like a Sunday night, so it was quiet.. but that only added for personal service and conversation for date night with my companion. Food was on point! I will say if you can't eat spicy note to ask about the spice. The joloff rice was good but ...but overall, I highly recommend the fried rice as an alternative along with the roast chicken. I was glad I had the option of the hard fowl or regular Purdue kind... Best was my server/bartended.. most friendly and accommodating..can't wait to go back, but my word for their menu experience is authentic....Go give your taste buds a workout!

NIGERIA ???????? Eat the World NYC review: Sleepy restaurant by day, nonstop lounge by night, Tropical Grill is a very interesting spot on an otherwise uninteresting stretch of Rockaway Blvd heading to JFK. Afternoons are a great time to come here to sample the kitchen's wonderful food, including this fish pepper soup, ranking high on the list of top spicy dishes. Try Nigerian beers as well and fall into the slow-paced rhythm of a West African afternoon at the bar. Or bring a group after midnight for bottle service and see if you can score a seat in the VIP area.
